We are delighted to announce that the fourth edition of The Power of Food Festival will be on 16 – 17 June 2018.
Registration is now open for community food gardens and external contributors wanting to take part.
The Festival is a weekend event when community food gardens in and around Edinburgh throw their gates open and invite the general public to come and explore, hear their stories, be inspired and entertained. Since the launch in 2015, 40 gardens have participated in the Festival.
The Power of Food Festival has been created to:
- celebrate and showcase inclusive community food growing
- inspire the public to grow food
- and raise awareness about the environmental and social implications of what we choose to eat.
By doing so, it seeks to encourage greater societal wellbeing, environmental sustainability and social justice.
Take part in 2018!
Registration is now open forcommunity gardens and ‘external contributors‘, i.e. anyone interested in providing free activities, entertainment or food in a garden. You will find all you need about participating in The Power of Food Festival here.
